The next three years will be critical to preparing and strategizing to ready our Local for the next round of negotiations and the future of our Union. To be successful, we will need to work together to find our common ground, our priorities, set strategic goals, and focus our energy and resources on achieving those goals. We have demonstrated the power of our collective voice. I am 100% committed to transforming that voice into the unified, strategic force we can become together to make the next round of negotiations a success.

Our future depends on our crafts remaining relevant. Film and Television production is a part of the global economy. Production centers have sprung up all over the world and the competition is greater than ever. In the face of that, it’s our skills, and the talented craftspeople of Local 44 that have allowed us to remain competitive. We are the gold standard. The best in the industry, highly skilled and leaders in the field. However, if we are to keep our competitive edge, we must continue to grow and foster that high standard. I will continue to expand skills training and support our crafts to embrace existing and emerging technology to prepare our members and the next generation of Local 44 members for the years ahead.

I am laser focused on moving our Local forward; engaging and preparing the next generation of Local 44 members to be successful. As our Local continues to grow in this ever-evolving industry, it is imperative that we make the investment in long-term goals to secure the future for our crafts. Our preeminence in the field relies on preparing our next gen leaders to move us forward into the future.
